Prelude.
I absolutely adore SpongeBob SquarePants, well, the earlier seasons at least cause the newer ones suck harder than your sister — I still re-watch the old episodes every now and then and I appreciate those early seasons of SpongeBob so much, especially now as a 21-year-old that can actually understand some of its more subtle complexities, representations of human behavior and ideologies and especially all the weird ass sex jokes. SpongeBob SquarePants has some of the best, most unique and mesmerizing characters of any animated show I’ve ever seen (apart from Pearl Krabs she’s a big chunky bitch), it has some of the funniest, nuanced jokes I’ve ever heard with surprisingly deep, meaningful and thought-provoking storylines — But I didn’t give a single fuck about any of this when I was a kid.
All I ever cared about was seeing SpongeBob and Patrick have fun, messing around and pissing off Squidward in the process. I seen a lot of myself in SpongeBob and Patrick but, especially with SpongeBob as I’m sure most kids do. Similar to a lot of kids SpongeBob is incredibly enthusiastic, optimistic and is confidence with himself, he is who he is and he fucking owns that shit. Now I still did absolutely adore Patrick too, as you can tell by the fact that he literally represents my channel, pretty fucking sad I know, but I find him so funny, laid back and retarded as shit…
